HDSL Operations and Maintenance
Description:
HDSL Operations and Maintenance class is a suit-cased instructor-led learning activity that is 1 days in length and includes a portable lab. The course is designed to instruct the student in the KEY aspects of operations and maintenance of HDLS services.
 Who Will Benefit The course is intended for the technicians that have day to day provisioning and maintenance responsibilities for HDSL circuits and for personnel that would like to have a detailed understanding of the HDSL technology. HDSL Operations and Maintenance consists of the following five lessons and is led by an instructor with extensive telephony and HDSL experience:

Doublers and Regenerators

Loop Qualifying for HDSL

Laptop provisioning and Operations

Troubleshooting
The class includes hands-on exercises to simulate provisioning of circuits and trouble resolution. The hands-on exercises are performed in a portable lab designed with operational HDSL circuits. The lab includes central office, repeater (doubler) and premise work stations. In addition, wire line simulators are used to emulate cable pairs to ensure real world cable related anomalies. The lab utilizes HDSL, HDSL2 and HDSL4 technologies from two of the leading industry providers of HDSL equipment. State of the art test equipment is provided to the students for the lab exercises. Students may also provide their own test equipment, if preferred.
HDSL Operations and Maintenance is designed to be suit-cased to the Customer’s site. The lab equipment has been developed for easy set-up and tear down in a classroom environment. Classrooms require good lighting, comfortable seating for for students and low noise levels. A white board is needed for the presentation as well as space for the four workstation relay racks.
