Trunks Integrated Record Keeping System (TIRKS) Word Document
Description:
The Trunks Integrated Record Keeping System (TIRKS) Word Document
is a suit-cased instructor-led learning activity that is
1 1/2 days in length designed to instruct the student in the
interpetation of KEY aspects of the TIRKS Word Document
Who will benefit:
This course is designed for personnel that have a need to
interpret the information presented on an issued TIRKS WORD
document in their day-to-day job. This is a field by field
analysis of the document. Circuit information is built in TIRKS
and contains the most current data.
Learning Objectives:
Lesson 1- Description of the course, purpose and introduction.
Lesson 2- Definition, description and examples of the various Field Identifiers (FIDs) contained on blank WA and CD pages.
Lesson 3- Analysis of a customer's TKNC (DSO) circuit. This circuit,
which connects through testing and transmission equipment, is
discussed on a line-by-line basis. At the end of the lesson a frame-wiring
diagram of the circuit is included and reviewed.
Lesson 4- Addressing a D4 carrier (DS 1) WORD document. The D4 circuit
travels via a SONET ring between the A & Z end points. Digital
Cross Connect Systems (DCS) are employed at both end office
locations. Mappings onto the SONET ring are explained. A frame-wiring
diagram is included at the end of this lesson.
Lesson 5- Explanation of the optical ring locations associated with the
circuit. At the end of lesson five, the instructor ties lessons
three, four and five together with a drawing of the DSO circuit and it's
transmission equipment, riding the T carrier system, transported over the SONET ring
between the originating and terminating locations.
Suit-cased on demand One and a half days.
